My goal has become to truly jump into this EV revolution and explore its realities.

Environmentally they are not always the best choice. It mostly depends on what type of electricity you use. From what I have read the western states are decent, because they are mostly hydro powered, the eastern states are not so great. Luckily I live in Revelstoke,BC,  where our electricity is 94% renewables. I am looking into paying for greening this last 6 % through something like bullfrog power

Many naysayers strike out against EV's because of the energy source and also the mining of the lithium for the batteries. The sourcing of these rare earth metals is not great for the environment, but it seems like the standards will get better. I hope, that by the time my batteries are done, there will be recycling already in place.
